Procurement Manager - Digital Platforms

to work out of our

Sugar Land, TX

location. The focus of this role is to assure a robust and enabling Procurement digital ecosystem for the procurement organization through broad stakeholder engagement as well as to ensure excellence in operations and service delivery. Activities of the Procurement division are closely linked with digital technology efforts. This seasoned manager is expected to partner and maintain a close and effective working relationship with sourcing, accounts payable, compliance/legal, IT & Digital Teams. This professional will be responsible for promoting and supporting the effective use of digital technology throughout the organization. This professional will also play a part in the delivery of Procurement ESG program. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for leading the Procurement function’s Process & Governance team, ensuring processes support the function’s drive for continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

SAP S/4 Hana Procurement Roll OUT

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful implementation and rollout of SAP S/4HANA Procurement modules.

- Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of procurement functionalities including Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Supplier Management, and Invoice Processing.

- Analyze current procurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation within the S/4HANA framework.

- Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support to ensure effective system adoption.

- Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with business goals.

- Monitor and report on rollout progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

- Support data migration, validation, and cleansing activities related to procurement master data.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.

Procurement Ecosystem Business Continuity (Digital Portals)

- Owns Procurement Ecosystem support, monitor tickets are addressed within SLAs and following Follow the Sun organization.

- Consistently seeks to understand ways to influence the development and/or enhancement of procurement processes and systems.

- Engages business leaders and subject matter experts in digital technology enhancements and procurement processes and 3rd party suppliers (e.g ESG softwares)

- Greater collaboration within the organization occurs as Procure to Pay (P2P) becomes more automated, increasing stakeholder adoption and experience

Talent management

- Challenge our talented people and help them grow. Supports early development of the talent pipeline through extern and intern programs.

- Participates and leads special projects, stretch assignments, and performs other duties as assigned.

Procurement ESG Program

- Drive the global diversity and sustainability program through data driven insights and advanced analytics.

- Supplier Onboarding and periodic ESG vetting to ensure compliance to our policies and reduced risk: collect vendor data, score vendors and implement action plans where needed.

- Collaborate with and provide training to the Procurement team to drive a step change in the evaluation of suppliers and negotiation of contracts in line with ChampionX’s Sustainability & ESG strategy.

- Work with the Procurement team and key stakeholders to improve sustainability & ESG in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.

Required Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience

- Minimum 5 years of people management experience

- Experience in SAP systems in a procurement or shared services environment.

- Strong systems skills and a real interest in tools and systems, data and numbers.

- Strong project Experience with Procure to Pay portals

- Experience with managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously

- Experience implementing supply chain engagement industry best practice and enabling technologies.

- Significant experience on supplier relationship management and continuous improvement.

- Strong in program management execution, results driven and ability to hold team accountable for end results setting appropriate milestones along the way to validate progress.

Desired Experience

- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability or Procurement.

- Experience in Supply Chain sustainability and ESG, including delivery of sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives

- Experience in development and implementation of supplier due diligence and governance strategy.

- Experience in identifying and implementing procurement operational and process efficiency

- Supporting and/ or developing governance and procurement policy.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with an influence at all levels of ChampionX

- Excellent data analysis skills

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams in global locations.
