Altus Power is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Product Manager to lead product execution and innovation across our digital energy platforms. This role reports directly to the Chief Digital Officer and is pivotal in shaping the future of intelligent energy solutions for our customers in Telecom, Financial Services, Retail, and Life Sciences.
We are looking for someone who not only brings deep digital product expertise, but the ideal candidate will have solar industry experience, strong financial and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
- Strategic Product Leadership
- Drive the vision and execution of digital products that layer intelligence on top of energy data.
- Translate market insights, MVP learnings, and customer feedback into actionable product requirements and a clear roadmap.
- Own and manage the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Operational & Analytical Insight
- Analyze detailed logic scenarios to ensure product features align with real-world energy production and operational workflows.
- Monitor and investigate energy production outliers, identifying root causes and collaborating with engineering and operations to resolve issues.
- Work with energy monitoring and performance data to surface actionable insights and inform product improvements.
- Maintain a daily hands-on view into software development progress, data pipelines, and system performance metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Head of Construction, Head of Operations & Maintenance/Energy, Production Engineers, and Finance Team to ensure product decisions are informed by operational realities and financial impact.
- Lead SCRUM ceremonies and agile development processes with engineering and design teams.
- Collaborate with UX designers to bring intuitive, data-driven experiences to life.
- Data & Financial Intelligence
- Apply advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis to evaluate product performance, ROI, and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models for personalization, real-time scoring, and churn management.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Present product roadmaps and performance updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Align internal teams and customers on product priorities and delivery timelines.
- Experience: 3-5 years in solar and or product management experiences.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Preferably experience in solar energy, energy management, or related domains.
- Analytical Skills:
- Exceptional proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Strong ability to interpret complex logic flows and identify anomalies in energy production data.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Mindset: Growth-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Location: Must work onsite at our Stamford, Connecticut headquarters.
- Deep understanding of energy and solar industry.
- Demonstrated success launching complex, data-rich software products.
- Experience working with energy monitoring platforms and interpreting performance data.
