About the role:

Greenhills Operations produces upwards of 5.5Mt per year of high quality steelmaking coal through the processing plant. This is a unique opportunity to join

directly into a full-time role

in the Greenhills Processing Plant. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the Process Operator is responsible for performing a variety of duties including physical labour, equipment operation, process troubleshooting/optimization, mechanical inspections and minor repair work.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

- Operate fixed plant processing circuits, including coarse and fine coal recovery circuits, mechanical and evaporative dewatering operations, and clean coal loadout operations

- Run heavy equipment including haul truck, dozer, and loader

- Perform equipment maintenance

- Work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Additional tasks include shoveling, hosing, and lifting various objects

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid class 5 driver’s license

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Previous mining experience is an asset, particularly in a processing operations scope

- Formal process operations certification, heavy equipment operations or industrial experience is considered an asset

Hourly Wage:

Starting at $42.13 per hour, with increases to $50.36 with progressive circuit experience

Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
