Process Engineer

Job Summary

The Process Engineer supports project engineering activities with a focus on process design and coordination. This role is responsible for developing and reviewing P&IDs, 3D models, and related documentation while ensuring alignment with project scope, quality standards, schedule, and budget. The position works closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and offshore teams to deliver accurate and compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft and update P&IDs for FMCG, pharma, fine, agro, and specialty chemical facilities

- Coordinate with offshore design teams, clients, vendors, and contractors

- Perform interdisciplinary coordination across process, piping, electrical, and instrumentation

- Review process and utility diagrams, including onsite field verification

- Develop 3D plant models, including layouts, piping, valves, instruments, supports, and cable trays

- Create intelligent P&IDs using AutoCAD P&ID (or similar platforms)

- Support hazardous area classification and electrical bubble diagrams

- Review SP3D and PDMS models for brownfield and greenfield projects

- Manage drawing approvals, incorporate client markups, and maintain quality documentation

- Support technical discussions and resolve discipline-related issues independently

Qualifications

- 5–7 years of relevant process engineering experience

- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, SP3D, and PDMS

- Strong knowledge of P&ID development, piping layout, and 3D plant modeling

- Familiarity with PIP standards and ISA-5.1

- Experience with hazardous area classification diagrams

- Strong coordination and client-facing communication skills

Education

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
