Principal Systems Engineer

About the role:

As a Principal Engineer you will serve as a technical authority and strategic contributor for safety-related I&C systems. You will lead high-impact projects, drive innovation, and ensure technical excellence across programs.

You will report to the Functional and System Engineering Manager and be located at Warrendale, PA office on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define system architecture and lead complex design initiatives.

- Serve as subject matter expert for safety-critical systems.

- Oversee reliability modeling, failure analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Interface with regulatory bodies and customers on technical matters.

- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor senior engineers.

- Contribute to strategic planning and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.

- 10+ years of experience in safety-critical systems design and analysis.

- Proven track record of technical leadership and innovation.

- Expertise in reliability engineering, regulatory compliance, and advanced modeling tools.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
