Press Brake Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with operating press brake machinery. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality metal components that meet our specifications and standards. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain efficiency and safety in the production process.

Entry Qualifications

Education: N/A

Experience: 2 years’ experience operating a Press Brake

Computer Skills: Delem controller or other CNC Press Brake Operating Systems

Mechanical Knowledge: Able to use saws and hand tools.

Other: Familiarity with large scale manufacturing is advantageous. Ability to operate a forklift is advantageous. Ability to weld GMAW and/or GTAW with Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum is advantageous

Responsibilities

Problem Solving

* If bends clash with tooling, present alternate bending program to engineering. Advise Engineering on when tooling simply would not work for the profile and/or sheet metal thickness and provide suggestions for what kind of tooling is needed.

*Anticipates potential problems and reports them to Engineering.

Accountability

· Receives guidance on assignment objectives & special/complex features.

· Interprets & applies relevant policies & procedures.

· Reviews the work of others for accuracy & soundness of judgment as needed.

· Assists with the development of new professionals.

Practices safe working habits.
