Position Summary: BFC Architectural Metals is a well-established metal fabrication shop which serves local, national, and international customers from our production facility in SeaTac, Washington. We are a hard-working group of folks who work collaboratively and love taking on diverse and challenging projects. We are growing rapidly and now seeking an experienced fabricator who is a great fit with our collaborative culture to grow with us in this exciting time.
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effective verbal and written communication.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such dimensions and tolerances. Ability to apply concepts of basic math including fractions and decimals.
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, orally, by diagram, or schedule format. Must be able to identify problems and implement effective countermeasures.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk and hear. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud - hearing protection is always required on the plant floor.
Education and/or Experience: Experience in metal fabrication.
