We are currently seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates based on client specifications and delivering clear, competitive pricing and budget proposals. In addition, the Estimator will play a critical role in supporting the company’s long-term growth by fostering strong customer relationships and mentoring fellow team members.
Duties
•Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
•Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
•Utilize various software tools to create and manage estimates efficiently.
•Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes.
•Maintain regular contact with the client to obtain more detailed information required to ensure that engineering decisions on the project/implementation are accurate and timely
•Meet client operational needs and ensure specifications and budget are in line with the contractual scope of work
•Assist in tracking bid status to acquire bid results
•Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
•Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
•Prepare a weekly bid calendar and ensure the timely completion of pricing
Requirements
•Previous experience in plumbing cost estimating and/or 5+ years of plumbing field experience is required
•An understanding of plumbing codes and systems is required
•Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
•Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•Familiarity with cost control measures and techniques within the construction industry.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
•Thrive in an environment that tests ideas by building
•Have superb communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record to take the initiative and build strong, productive relationships
•Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
•Meet time schedules, deadlines, and plan and organize work
•Work confidently with discretion and independently with little direction
•Maintain a high level of confidentiality
•Well organized and reliable
•Valid driver's license and clean driving record
