Summary

In the role of Plumbing Estimator/Project Manager, you will be essential in overseeing project estimation and management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Your core skills in construction estimating and cost control will be vital in pricing projects accurately. With strong communication and analysis skills, you will collaborate with teams on-site and manage contracts effectively.

Duties:

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates

Collaborate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information

Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and potential risks

Prepare quantity take-offs and material pricing based on project requirements

Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing

Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and submit them in a timely manner

Participate in bid review meetings and negotiations with clients

Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation

Manage material, crews, and subcontractors for multiple projects, some ongoing at the same time

Skills:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project documents

- Proficiency in Autobid Mechanical software and other estimating tools

- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and measurements

- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise cost estimates

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
