PLC Programmer

TENG Inc. is a fast growing, medium-size engineering consultant company providing engineering and project management services to multiple industry sectors. We are looking for two PLC Programmers to support our client base in Ontario, Alberta, and BC. Our preference would be for you to be in the Ontario. You would report into the Mississauga office.

TENG Inc. – helps our clients to develop, enhance and maintain their facilities in oil-gas and other industries. It is working closely with the other disciplines to develop efficient EPCM/EPC solutions for new and existing clients. In this role you will be required to carry out various aspects of engineering project design and drafting solutions for various plant systems. Clients for this work are primarily Oil & Gas, Distribution & Terminals, Pipelines, Utilities, Power Generation and Bio Industrial.

The PLC Programmer(s) will report directly to the I&C Section Head of. The work may include the following but not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Client interface to develop functional requirements and assess project deliverables.

- Develop, contribute and/or oversee the creation of project documentation (including control system detailed design package, control narratives, alarm indexes, shutdown keys, user manuals, FAT/SAT documentation)

- Participate in P&ID, HAZOP and other design reviews.

- Design and configuration of PLC and HMI systems

- Design of Industrial network and controls systems

- Participate in project meetings between engineering, project management, operations, and client.

Education & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s in engineering or Diploma in a related field

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in related areas

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English

- Hybrid work model

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in an EPCM or Operating Company environment within the downstream oil and gas sector

- Rockwell, Honeywell experience

- PLC Experience with Allen Bradley (hardware and programming environments), with a preference for PlantPAx experience.

- Experience with Functional Safety and Triconex configuration.

- HMI/SCADA experience with Wonderware in touch/system platform systems

- Knowledge and experience with common industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, DH+)
