Pipeline Logistics Analyst

Reporting to the Director Business Development - Logistics, this position provides analytical support to the Logistics Business Development team within S&TO. In addition, this position provides commercial and contract management support for key commercial logistics agreements.

As a key member of our team, you’ll develop and enhance sophisticated tools to analyze budgets, pipeline tolls, project economics, and volume flows—ensuring our commercial strategies are both robust and forward-thinking. You’ll also support critical annual budgeting, stewardship activities, and contract audits, directly influencing decisions on transportation services worth over $1 billion each year. - University degree in business, accounting or economics - 5+ years total experience, with 3 or more years being in an analyst or related commercial role

- Prior experience with pipelines and connected infrastructure is an asset

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data interpretation

- Strong knowledge of economic evaluations principles

- Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority

- Knowledge of commercial or contract management would be an asset

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and develop models to evaluate commercial offerings of various pipeline projects or proposals.

- Support contract changes and negotiations as well as identification and resolution of commercial issues

- Support opportunity identification and value capture within existing agreements

- Support audits of logistics contracts and assets.

- Support annual budgeting process for logistics contracts and assets

- Support stewardship of logistics business development activities

- Organizing & analyzing data to aid in decision making

- Consolidate and communicate market intelligence information related to logistics projects and developments in regions that impact Suncor’s business

Location and other Key Details:

- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W

- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
