Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of payroll management practices. The Payroll Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organization.
Responsibilities
•Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
•Maintain employee records related to payroll, including hours worked, deductions, and tax information.
•Utilize financial software such as Viewpoint, Kronos, Ceridian, or Workday to manage payroll data efficiently.
•Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate reporting of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
•Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
•Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and professional manner.
•Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll metrics and trends for management review.
•Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements
•Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role within an accounting or finance department.
•Strong knowledge of payroll management processes and relevant legislation.
•Proficiency in financial software; experience with Viewpoint, Kronos, Ceridian, or Workday is highly desirable.
•Knowledge and experience with Labor Compliance and or Certified Payroll HIGHLY desired.
•Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
•Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
•A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
