Job Summary:
The HR/Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely, multi-state, payroll processing, managing state and federal tax withholdings, processing state and federal payroll liabilities and forms, preparing certified payroll reports, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR-related functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
•Process weekly payroll for multiple companies accurately and on time
•Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes
•Administer employee benefits and respond to related inquiries
•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
•Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
•Prepare reports related to payroll, benefits, and HR metrics
•Support audits and other HR projects as needed
Qualifications:
•2+ years of experience in HR and/or payroll administration
•Strong understanding of payroll practices, labor laws, and HR compliance
•Proficiency with payroll and HR software (e.g., QuickBooks, BambooHR)
•Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
•Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
•Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
•Knowledge of payroll tax withholdings and state and federal reporting requirements
•Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, Bamboo HR
