- Parts Manager: Order parts, track orders, pickup parts, return parts as requested by mechanic, creation of Purchase Orders, noting part numbers in computer system
- Maintain lube truck with guidance from mechanics
- Assist mechanics as needed
- Clean and organize work areas and tools
- Retrieve and deliver parts and supplies as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Perform basic diagnostic tests under the supervision of a mechanic
- Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle component
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication skills to work effectively with mechanics and other team members
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects
On-the-job training will be provided. The mechanic helper will work closely with experienced mechanics to learn and develop their skills. Health insurance benefits will be offered after 90 days of employment, and a Simple IRA plan will be offered after 1 year of employment. Pay DOE.
