The position is directly responsible for the preparation, staging, coating, pulling and continuous improvements of all coated parts and assemblies manufactured at the company.

High Country Industrial Corp is offering a starting competitive hourly wage of $22.00 - $26.00 depending on experience.

- Accountable pull work orders and prepare all parts/assemblies, materials, equipment and workstation prior to the coating process.
- Accountable to follow work instructions to coat and inspect full and sub-assemblies.
- Accountable to maintain the “5 S” Methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the shipping and assembly areas.
- Accountable to collaborate and partner with welders, paint, electrical and other assembly / shipping / receiving technicians.
- Accountable to drive continuous improvement efforts in regard to workflow and work cell organization.

This job is considered medium to heavy work in nature with occasional heavy tasks. Maximum lifting of up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting of weights up to 50 pounds. Typically standing and walking for 6 hours out of an 8-hour day. The frequency of the tasks depends on the type of shift, weather conditions and changes to the indoor environment (which cannot always be predicted or controlled).
- 1+ year of proven painting & sandblasting experience
- Knowledge of reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and other prints
- Basic math knowledge, problem solving
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Direct production experience with role function examples
- Lean practice or exposure of concepts
