What You’ve Accomplished

- Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent

- At least 1 year of directly related experience

- Possess mechanical aptitude. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

- Inspection techniques (e.g., visual, dimensional, non-destructive testing).

- OSHA guidelines and workplace safety protocols.

- Hazardous materials handling and emergency procedures.

- Understanding process flow diagrams and control charts.

- Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow written and verbal direction.

As a Manufacturing Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work tasks will include:

- Learning to operate various equipment to convert, dissolve, purify, and process uranium materials in a safe and proficient manner.

- The processed uranium product will be used in downstream processes to create fuel to produce carbon free electricity in nuclear power plants.

- Learning how to read different instruments to help you in your processing duties.

- Gaining experience using computer software and hardware with several data bases to electronically transfer and track materials and products.

- Developing process and equipment troubleshooting skills.

- Learning how to handle uranium safely.

Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The pay rate for this position is $28.50 per hour and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
