Steele Solutions, Inc. is the nation's leading designer and manufacturer of steel work platforms and mezzanines. We are growing and seeking a Paint Line Lead to support our 3rd shift operations in Waupaca, WI. location!
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, and in addition to the regular duties of general labor/paint, the Paint Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the Paint line employees, ensuring that goals and objectives are met while meeting all quality and safety standards.

- Works closely and oversees the Paint Line team, ensuring quality standards and production goals are met.
- Trains and mentor employees; assigs and directs work; provides input for performance appraisals; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Reviews daily work orders provided by Production Control and plans and distributes work accordingly
- Creates a daily paint schedule according to the priority of the work order, paint color and other factors
- Tests washing tank water regularly to ensure pH and chemical levels are correct, and completes related documentation
- Adjust temperature/speed of the oven (depending on the equipment at each location) based on the dimension and type of parts being painted
- Coordinates with Shipping and Fabrication departments to ensure optimal flow of materials
- Manage any unexpected changes and adjust paint schedules if needed
- Uses forklifts to move materials around the plant if needed
- Inspect painted parts regularly and checks for defects
- Completes and maintains any required paperwork, records and documents
- Checks work area for hazards
- Comply with safety regulations and always wear appropriate PPE
- Leaves work area in a clean/safe state when shift is complete
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or another operational leader

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of manufacturing work experience- Supervisory and Leadership experience preferred
