Oversight Engineer involves managing relationships and contracts with Engineering Services Providers (ESP) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, codes, and the client's specifications. The position leads the design review process and oversees material specification, requisition, and procurement, supporting all phases of project development, design, construction, and commissioning.
- Manage the relationship and contracts with Engineering Services Providers.
- Lead the design review process with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
- Oversee the specification and requisition of materials, evaluating vendor quotes and collaborating with Supply Chain for procurement.
- Support planning and scheduling during design and procurement phases.
- Provide technical support throughout project development, construction, and commissioning.
- Manage the incorporation of red-line markups into as-built drawings.
- Contribute to project scope development, scheduling, cost estimation, and risk assessment.
- Support Operations with incident investigations post-project handover.
- Review lessons learned from past projects and incorporate improvements into future designs.
- Over 7 years of experience in designing power distribution systems for Oil and Gas facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineer designation with APEGA, or eligibility to register.
- Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of national codes (CEC and NEC) and industry standards (API, IEEE, UL).Please note: Successful applicants will be employees of Raise, working at Enbridge facilities with both Enbridge and contract employees.
