Job Overview

As an Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's electrical equipment. Your primary responsibilities include performing maintenance, coordinating activities, and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on electrical equipment such as valves, motors, turbines, PD meters, sampling systems, and relief systems.

- Coordinate with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, Mechanical Technicians, Electrical Technicians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors, and PLM to schedule and complete work efficiently and safely.

- Ensure all maintenance work complies with regulations and company Operation & Maintenance (O&M) procedures.

- Be on call for emergency responses and maintenance as required.

- Complete and maintain current safety and technical training.

- Maintain facility records and update drawings as necessary.

- Adhere to all company policies.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent experience with Journeyperson Electrical certification; an instrumentation background is an asset.

- 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial field.

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

- Strong work ethic, computer skills, willingness to learn, and a positive team attitude.

- Commitment to fundamental principles of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion, and high performance.

Working Conditions

- Alternative Work Schedule: 9/80 (44 hours: Monday to Thursday 9 hours/day, Friday 1: Off, Friday 2: 8 hours).

- Work in both field (80%) and office (20%) environments.

- Operate around high voltage equipment, transformers, disconnects, switchgear, motor control centers, and electrical service buildings.

- Work in hazardous or restricted locations like pump rooms, confined spaces, and classified areas.

- Ability to perform outdoor duties in various weather conditions and handle physically challenging responsibilities, such as lifting up to 50lbs.

Please note: Successful applicants will be employees of Raise, working at Enbridge facilities with both Enbridge and contract employees.
