Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking an experienced OT Security Analyst with hands-on expertise in Industrial Defender to support our Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity and regulatory program. This role will focus on OT asset management, configuration change management, and vulnerability management, while ensuring alignment with NERC CIP compliance requirements.
This is a contract position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Administer and support Industrial Defender platform modules including:
- OT Asset Management
- Configuration Change Management
- Vulnerability Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of OT assets across industrial environments.
- Administer and manage the Dragos Platform for OT threat detection and monitoring. (Is a plus)
- Tune and optimize Dragos detections to reduce false positives and improve visibility.
- Monitor, analyze, and validate configuration changes within control systems.
- Identify, assess, and track remediation of OT vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for asset visibility, compliance, and risk management.
- Support compliance efforts related to NERC CIP standards, including documentation and audit preparation.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, OT, regulatory, and IT/OT security teams to improve OT security posture.
- Assist in incident response activities involving OT environments.
- Contribute to process improvements and security best practices within industrial networks.
- 5+ years of experience in OT cybersecurity, industrial control systems (ICS), or critical infrastructure environments. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with Industrial Defender (required).
- Strong understanding of:
- OT asset management processes
- Configuration baselining and change detection
- OT vulnerability management practices
- Working knowledge of NERC CIP standards and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with ICS/SCADA systems and industrial network architectures.
- Experience working in regulated critical infrastructure environments (energy, utilities, oil & gas preferred).
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Experience in electric utilities or energy sector.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP audit support.
- Knowledge of additional OT security tools and monitoring solutions.
- Preferred candidate will be based in or near Houston, TX.
- Hybrid or onsite presence may be required depending on project needs.
The expected hourly range for this role is $40 - $50/HR USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education.
