- Working within the Operations department, will be responsible for a variety of duties associated with operating the central plant
- Duties include: monitoring flow rates, collecting samples, and completing resin transfers.
- Responsible for the evaluation and maintenance of equipment in the production of yellowcake.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety.
- This position will have a direct impact on mine production/restoration
- This position involves shift work, rotating between days and nights every two weeks
- Must have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license
- Basic maintenance/construction skills are required
- Must be able to demonstrate basic proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions that will involve work at Safety-Sensitive Sites or in Safety-Sensitive Positions must take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of employment. Marijuana remains in a user’s system for about 30 days, so applicants who recently used marijuana recreationally should not expect to pass a substance test.
