Job Summary:
The Operations Support Manager is responsible for maintaining Sonus Interiors’ facilities, fleet, equipment, and operational infrastructure. This position supports the warehouse and delivery operations while ensuring the efficient upkeep and organization of critical company resources. This role is pivotal in maintaining smooth operations, enhancing productivity, and supporting our team in delivering exceptional service, enhancing daily operations, support special projects and drive process improvements.
About Sonus Interiors:
Sonus Interiors is a commercial interiors construction company with multiple divisions including ceiling, flooring, window treatments, specialty products and design. Flooring division demos, procures and installs carpet (broadloom & tile), resilient flooring, rubber, wood, and specialty, epoxy and polished concrete, stone and ceramic tile for commercial spaces. Sonus Interiors has approximately 140 employees, including 50 office and 90 Union field employees. This position would support both office and field employees.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
•Fleet Management: Lead the maintenance, repair, leasing, and purchasing of company vehicles. Coordinate repairs directly or assign tasks to trained warehouse team members as appropriate.
•Equipment & Tools Management: Oversee the tracking, repair, and general care of all tools and equipment to maintain operational readiness and reduce downtime.
•Warehouse Organization & Support: Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse spaces with support from the warehouse and delivery team. Assist with general warehouse operations, including forklift driving, delivery support, and carpet cutting as needed.
•Facility Maintenance Leadership: Act as the lead for facility maintenance needs, coordinating repairs, upgrades, vendor management, and ensuring the warehouse remains compliant with safety standards.
•Operational Support & Training: Provide backup coverage for the Warehouse Manager (e.g., during PTO). Assist with the onboarding of new warehouse and delivery employees and participate in refining and enforcing warehouse operational processes.
•Collaboration & Delivery Coordination: Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Delivery Supervisor to support logistics needs and coordinate delivery activities when required.
•Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and communication.
Desired Qualifications:
•Proven experience in an operations management role or similar position.
•Prior experience in fleet management, facility maintenance, warehouse operations, or related field
•Having mechanical experience/knowledge is beneficial.
•Ability to lead and train others in operational processes
•Forklift certified (or willingness to obtain certification)
•Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
•Physical ability to assist with warehouse and delivery activities
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally over the phone.
