Location: Oconto -1 Facility Reports To: Operations Manager
Hourly/Salary: Hourly / DAYS 4-10’s Position Type: Full-time
The Machine Department is looking to add a highly skilled Machinist that has the ability to program and run both vertical mills and lathes. The daily tasks will include working with the machining team to meet both schedule and customer requirements, proper time management in Job Boss, programming, inspections, completing required reports, collaborating with other departments, and working with management to improve overall quality and delivery of product.
Inspection of all incoming fabricated materials such as preformed or machined subcomponents and other materials to insure that they conform to drawings or industry machining standards before and after project completion.
Manage projects as assigned, accountable to predetermined work schedule
Program vertical mills and lathes at the machine to complete projects
Manage schedule and set employee hours to meet schedule
Coordinate maintenance of equipment with Machine Shop Supervisor
Insures that all projects are manufactured according to the Customer Requirements with the proper materials and documentation.
Makes final inspection of completed components before shipment to insure that they conform with specifications, including crate specifications when required.
Provides technical data to estimator and scheduler to insure that all needed information and work centers are added to the Shop Travelers
Review all job paperwork for completion and turn in to Machine Shop Supervisor
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Frequently required to sit, stand, use hands, talk, and hear. Regularly required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles.
