Role
Reporting to the Division Manager of Rising Edge High Voltage, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction phase of projects within the Business Unit. They are responsible for overall project execution, ensuring that construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards. The Operations Manager leads and manages a team of superintendents, Foremen, and construction professionals, and works closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
•Works with HR and the Talent Acquisition team through the Talent Management process - talent identification, recruiting, talent development and coaching
•Oversee and manage the construction phase of projects from start to finish. This includes project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
•Coordinate all aspects of resources including management of construction crews and owned and rented equipment.
•Supports the development of construction schedules, cost estimates, and procurement strategies.
•Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
•Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
•Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
•Ensure all safety procedures and regulations are followed on construction sites.
•Participate in industry associations and networking events to stay updated on latest trends and best practices.
•Support the Safety Department and implement/oversee the safety both on and off the project.
Requirements
Qualifications
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management role
•Extensive experience in High Voltage and Battery Energy Storage construction projects
•Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and industry best practices
•Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•Highly proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite programs
•Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
•Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
•Professional certifications such as PMP or LEED AP are a plus
