The Callaway Energy Center is a nuclear facility located in mid-Missouri. The Energy Center has more than 800 employees and contractors working at the facility, and it has established a strong record of safe operation throughout its 30-year operating history. The Energy Center is a highly efficient, low-cost, sustainable source of electricity for Ameren Missouri’s 1.2 million customers.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, etc.) from an accredited university OR current/previous RO/SRO licensure required. 5+ years of relevant experience (e.g., nuclear operations, maintenance, engineering, procedure writing, people leadership, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, human performance and/or roles requiring significant articulation/improvement of processes) required. In lieu of degree or licensure, may consider 9+ years of relevant experience with an associated skillset. College-level English composition coursework or technical writing coursework preferred.

Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software preferred. Security screening required for Callaway Energy Center access. Qualified candidates are required to establish and maintain their permanent residence within sixty highway miles of the Callaway Energy Center.

The Procedure Writer works a standard day shift in an office/plant environment. Callouts and working rotating or Outage schedules may be required to support plant operations. Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include an assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

$86,400.00 - $133,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
