We are a fast-growing real estate investment and contracting company focused on flipping houses and managing full-scale residential renovation projects across North Jersey. Our projects typically involve full gut renovations—kitchens, bathrooms, windows, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and more. The business is scaling quickly, and we’re hiring our first full-time Operations Manager to bring structure, efficiency, and leadership to our day-to-day operations.
Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and optimizing all aspects of the company’s operations. You will lead and manage multiple residential renovation projects, coordinate crews and vendors, streamline workflow, and build the systems that will allow us to scale.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both field awareness and strategic thinking. You’ll report directly to the owner and act as the go-to leader ensuring all projects are on track, on budget, and moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
•Project Oversight: Manage 3–4 full renovation projects simultaneously, ensuring quality work, timeliness, and budget control.
•Team Leadership: Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site crews. Make sure everyone is aligned, productive, and accountable.
•Operations & Systems Building: Document and implement all standard operating procedures (SOPs) from scratch. Bring structure to the chaos.
•Scheduling & Planning: Own the master schedule for all jobs and adjust timelines in real-time as needed.
•Permits & Compliance: Submit permit applications and ensure all regulatory steps are followed.
•Material & Vendor Coordination: Handle sourcing, ordering, and deliveries with speed and accuracy.
•Quality Control: Perform regular site visits to inspect work and ensure standards are upheld.
•Payroll & Admin Oversight: Assist with timesheets, invoices, and tracking costs across projects.
•Communication Hub: Serve as the point of contact between the owner, clients, vendors, and crews.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in operations management, construction project management, or residential renovations
•Prior experience as a foreman, site supervisor, or similar hands-on construction role is highly preferred
•Proven ability to run multiple jobs at once, manage teams, and meet deadlines
•Strong understanding of residential construction, building materials, and sequencing of trades
•Extremely organized and self-motivated with strong follow-through
•Tech-savvy — able to work with spreadsheets, apps, Google Drive, and scheduling tools
•Clear and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing
•High attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
Compensation:
•Base Salary: $100,000 annually
•Performance Bonuses: Based on project completion, staying under budget, and hitting key milestones (up to 5–10% of net project profits)
