Golden Vertex Corp is a pressure metal mining company based in Bullhead City, AZ, specializing in gold extraction. Golden Vertex was recently acquired by new ownership and is under new management. The Company operates the Moss Mine located in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, approximately a one hour and a half drive south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Golden Vertex Corp is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Millwright for our Moss Mine project.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team. They will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting fixed plant equipment and mechanical systems critical to mine and processing plant operations. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, fast-paced mining environment.

Duties

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, motors, gearboxes, and other processing equipment

- Dismantle, move, install, align, and level machinery and mechanical components

- Troubleshoot mechanical systems to diagnose issues and determine repair needs

- Work from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform repairs and installations

- Operate hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment safely

- Adhere strictly to safety and environmental procedures, including MSHA regulations

- Collaborate with electrical and operations teams to support overall plant reliability

- Complete maintenance logs and documentation accurately and timely

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in a mining or heavy industrial setting is recommended

- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding and cutting equipment

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics

- Physically able to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 lbs

- Valid driver’s license required

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.

- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.

Education

- High School Diploma Required

- Technical diploma, journeyman, or associate degree in related mechanical field

Criteria/Conditions:

- While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and potentially work on elevated platforms.

- May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday

- Personal protective equipment is required when performing this position. The work is an outdoor mine setting which requires hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law

- Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license

- Golden Vertex is a drug/alcohol free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per all applicable laws

- This work is in a mine and plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
