Paragon is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician to join our team in our Fort Worth, Texas office! The Mechanical Test Technician is responsible for performing tests and inspections of a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Perform functional testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of complex electro-mechanical components
- Design, fabricate and implement test set ups to meet testing requirements
- Perform failure analysis of various components
- Perform fit, form, and function comparison analysis of replacement components
- Dedication/qualification of commercially available components for safety related applications in nuclear utilities
- Testing and troubleshooting with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, wave generators and assorted test equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks
- Additional duties and tasks assigned by management
- High school diploma required
- 5 years of prior experience in manufacturing testing required
- Able to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
- A high attention to detail with good documentation skills, and able to write legibly
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in basic computer skills (file organization, email, etc.)
- Proficiency in using the following equipment: Regulators, Pressure Gauges, DMMs, Pressure Modules, Calipers, as well as basic tools
- Working knowledge of specific parts and components, including but not limited to: Valves, Motors, Actuators, Positioners, Chiller and HVAC systems, etc.
