LEL International is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of industrial generator enclosures, including both mobile and stationary systems. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, this role plays a critical part in ensuring product performance, safety, and compliance through structural analysis, airflow optimization, and noise containment design.

- Design and develop enclosure systems for industrial generators (mobile and stationary).
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned mechanical design projects.
- Perform structural analyses to ensure stability, durability, and code compliance.
- Conduct airflow and ventilation calculations to optimize cooling performance.
- Develop and implement effective noise containment and sound reduction solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, thermal).
- Participate in prototype builds and oversee testing and validation efforts.
- Refine designs based on testing results, feedback, and regulatory requirements.
- Support project planning activities, including scope definition, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- Document design processes, analyses, and specifications for engineering records and patents.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, manufacturability, and performance.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory updates.
- Proficiency with mechanical design and engineering simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, thermodynamics, and acoustics.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support design decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience working on product development in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Exposure to industrial equipment or enclosure design preferred.
- Experience with industrial generator systems and enclosure designs.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and certification processes.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical projects.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
