Material Handler

Job Purpose:

Maintain material and tools stored in Coastal Electric Cooperative’s warehouse.

Duties:

· Receive material into warehouse from suppliers.

· Assist in-house crews and contractors in compiling material for work orders.

· Relocate material from storage to designated area for crews and contractors.

· Assist in material inventory and create weekly ordering lists for purchasing director.

· Operate forklift and pallet lift in a safe and efficient manner.

· Maintain a clean and orderly facility.

· Ensure out going packages are picked up by shipping company.

· All other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Skills/Qualifications:

High school diploma or state equivalency certification required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, safety materials, and other work-related documents. A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have forklift certification. Must have and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license, with a clean driving record, as use of company vehicles may be required in this job. Must be able to lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds. Must possess appropriate verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,818.00 - $55,638.00 per year
