Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and clamp trucks to efficiently manage inventory, facilitate order picking, and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse functions and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Duties

- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse

- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas with precision and care

- Assist with order picking using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory processing

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs

- Maintain organized storage areas by stacking and arranging products efficiently

- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order accuracy

- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating the movement of goods throughout the facility

- Adhere to safety protocols, including heavy lifting techniques and equipment handling procedures

Requirements

- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting

- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance is preferred

- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively

- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control

- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately

- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures

- Prior experience with order picker equipment is a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.27-$25.00 per hour
