Masking Applicator

Sapphire Metal Finishing is a job shop that provides anodizing services to machine shops and hobbyists in the north-west. We are involved in the finishing of electronics, scientific, medical, gun, knife, military, racing and power-sports parts.

Our growing company is looking to add to our production team in our masking & plugging department! This opening is full time with a starting wage of $16 an hour.

Position Responsibilities:

- Plug and mask parts according to prints given on how to process parts properly with a steady hand.

- Visually inspect masked parts to verify correct masking.

- Log parts in and out of area using software on iPad.

- Be able to multitask and prioritize orders to help them flow through the system in a timely manner.

- Cross-train to other departments to help when needed.

- Employees will be trained to the mission and values as well as how to properly and safely perform the tasks they are assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Must have an attention to detail.

- Be able to read a drawings/prints. (Can be trained on the job)

- Interest in developing capabilities in CAD, laser, drafting and/or designing a plus.

- High school graduate or GED.

- Ability to work with others and help create a positive work environment.

- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

- Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds periodically, and grip, pinch and use hands.

- US Govt. FFL (Federal Firearms License) permits do not allow us to hire individuals with felonies on their record.

- Be able to pass a drug test, including marijuana.
