Position Summary:
This role involves assisting in the creation of marketing campaigns, managing marketing projects, and analyzing market trends. The Marketing Development Manager will work closely with the marketing team and other departments to ensure that all marketing efforts align with the company’s goals and objectives. This work will be performed under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
•Assisting in developing the brand and marketing strategy for new and existing services and products, including campaigns, events, digital marketing, etc.
•Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
•Undertaking continuous analysis of the competitive environment and consumer trends by researching and building relationships with new clients.
•Working closely with the management team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
•Collaborating with the company’s team to enable them to meet their engineering and commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and presentations.
•Setting up meetings between client decision-makers and company leaders.
•Assisting in leading proposal efforts and participating in pricing the solutions/services needed by clients.
•Managing social media presence and directing programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
•Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization.
•Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling, and other means of generating interest from potential clients.
•Cold calling as appropriate within the market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
•Identifying potential clients and the decision-makers within the client organization.
•Handling objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
•Attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and providing feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
•At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in marketing and business development, ideally in a managerial or supervisory role.
•Proven experience in marketing and business development.
•Strong understanding of market dynamics and requirements.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
•Budget-management skills and proficiency.
•Professional judgment and discretion that comes from years of experience in the field.
•Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
•Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
•Self-motivated with a passion for marketing and the ability to lead a marketing team.
