The purpose of this position is to provide program support to both Manufacturing, CI and the Product Engineering organizations. In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans. This position will also be responsible for implementing cost reductions, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.
· Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.
· Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.
· Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.
· Manage special projects that support lean manufacturing
· Collect and analyze data to support team efforts.
· Conduct training sessions to support continuous improvement efforts
· Strong knowledge of forging or metal working processes preferred
· Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere
· Good computer skills (basic Microsoft software packages).
· Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under the U.S. export control laws and regulations (including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
