Manager of Commercial Excellence
Waupaca Foundry is seeking a Manager of Commercial Excellence to play a critical role in shaping the Company’s pricing, reporting, and sales operations capabilities. This position sits within the Commercial team, working closely with Pricing, Sales Operations, IT, Finance, and Customer Service. The role will focus on building scalable processes, improving insights into sales performance, driving CRM implementation, and improve Waupaca’s pricing strategy. This is a highly visible position suited for a professional energized by analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration - with the opportunity to shape the future of commercial operations.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for CRM implementation and ongoing support (vendor selection, design, data quality, customer relationships, etc).
- Lead CRM adoption through training, office hours, and user support.
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure CRM alignment with business needs.
- Support the Sales Planning Manager by increasing the level of automation for reporting and forecasts that flow into SIOP
- Automate the reporting around capacity, new wins, and attrition,
- Partner with the Sales Planning Manager and Finance to improve forecast accuracy and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain pricing performance reporting (where we’re winning vs. losing, volume mix vs. demand).
- Build a value-based pricing framework and establish scalable, repeatable documentation.
- Provide insights into sales trends, backlog, and performance management.
- Identify “quick wins” in analytics to alleviate reporting gaps and create actionable insights.
- Collaborate with external sales managers to ensure their needs are being met by the inside sales team processes
- Support the inside sales team by providing analytics and project managing process improvements to quoting, RFQ routing, and product launch issues.
- Ensure high-quality customer and pipeline information in the CRM.

YEAR ONE PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVESBy the end of the first year, you will have:
- Lead a successful CRM implementation and driven adoption across teams.
- Delivered actionable sales and pricing insights to relieve reporting/analytics gaps.
- Built and implemented a value-based pricing framework.
- Established scalable documentation and repeatable commercial processes.
- Partnered effectively with Sales, IT, and Finance to improve forecasting and reporting.- 6+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, sales operations, or commercial excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to create insights from complex data.
- Experience in pricing strategy, including value-based approaches.
- CRM system experience (implementation or adoption leadership preferred).
- Exposure to sales operations and capacity planning (SIOP) processes.
- Strong project management and process improvement mindset.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across Finance, IT, Sales, and Operations.
- Comfortable with evolving priorities and energized by fixing broken processes.
- A high level of enthusiasm, passion for change management and a positive attitude.
