Magazine Operator (Site Operations) Full-Time

Location: Hilo, HI

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Pay Rate: Without CDL $27.82 / With CDL $31.23

Schedule: 8–12 hour shifts | 5 days per week | Overtime as needed

Job Overview

We are hiring a Magazine Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of magazine sites in Hilo, Hawaii. This role is responsible for inventory management, site maintenance, product delivery, and on-site customer support during blasting operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently in an outdoor environment. Occasional travel to Oahu is required.

Key Responsibilities

· Inventory Management

Maintain accurate inventory records for all stored products

Perform routine stock checks and report discrepancies

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory storage requirements

· Site Maintenance

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of magazine facilities

Maintain site grounds, including vegetation control and general upkeep

Identify and report structural or security concerns

· Product Delivery

Safely transport products from magazine sites to customer locations

Follow all company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements

Verify delivery documentation and ensure accurate handling

· Customer Support

Assist customers during blasting operations as needed

Ensure all safety protocols are followed on site

· Safety & Compliance

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Participate in required safety training

Actively identify opportunities for safety improvements

· Additional Duties

Travel to Oahu as needed to support site operations

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to follow safety procedures and work with attention to detail

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

· Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or higher

· Hazmat Endorsement

· Experience with inventory management or hazardous materials

· Forklift experience

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods

· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment
