Fabrication of parts by setting up, and operating a (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment.
- Reads work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Edit program and make adjustments at the machine, determine zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry;
- Sets-up machine by installing proper tools. Adjusts feeds and speeds as necessary for material running.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
- Detects malfunctions; troubleshoots
- Complete In-process inspection of each part and complete paperwork.
- Keep CNC machines running at 100% Efficiency
- Maintain coolant and way lube levels and lubrication of tools in holder for optimal machine operation
- Observe tool wear and replace worn tools.
- Can safely lift 50 pounds
- Requirement: Minimum 5+Year Work Experience in Machine set up and Operation- Good inspection skills
- Flexible Schedule to accommodate for OT
- Coordination of work flow, Attention to Detail, Hold Tight Tolerances
- Mechanical skills to troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
