We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Machine Shop & Facilities Technician to support our production floor. This role places strong emphasis on product assembly, inventory handling, material organization, and shop support, with light facility maintenance responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone interested in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or warehouse operations who enjoys hands-on work in an industrial environment.
- Assemble metal parts, components, fixtures, and industrial products using hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Assist with basic assembly and product preparation
- Assist production team with preparation and movement of jobs throughout the manufacturing process
- Cut metal blanks or materials using a bandsaw according to specifications
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail during assembly and product preparation
- Receive, organize, and stock incoming materials, components, and shop supplies
- Track inventory levels and help maintain organized storage areas
- Move raw materials, finished goods, pallets, and steel throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport materials safely
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory organization, and identifying low-stock items
- Keep production and warehouse areas clean, organized, and efficient for material flow
- Support general shop upkeep and maintain clean workspaces, equipment, and production areas
- Perform light facility maintenance such as changing light bulbs, replacing filters, minor repairs, or assisting with small shop projects
- Assist with moving equipment, furniture, or materials as needed
- Help maintain stocked shop supplies such as packaging materials, cleaning supplies, paper towels, and soap
- Pick up and deliver materials, parts, or supplies from local vendors
- Purchase shop supplies and transport equipment between locations as needed
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, machine shop, or fabrication environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Comfortable performing hands-on physical work in an industrial or production setting
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow procedures and instructions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain inventory accuracy
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing or production career path
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday
- Comfortable working in a machine shop or warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Ability to safely handle metal materials, tools, and equipment
