Logistics Specialist

Start and end times will vary depending on the truck schedule for the day. Candidates must be available to work any time between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Sark Wire is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to oversee the daily operations of our logistics department and ensure seamless coordination with other departments. This role involves managing work orders, shipping and receiving activities, transportation arrangements, documentation, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Order Management

- Receive work orders from Customer Service and/or Finance departments.

- Generate material release forms based on corresponding work orders.

Shipping and Receiving

- Verify shipping truck and driver identification before releasing materials.

- Assist with loading products onto trucks.

- Prepare all shipping documentation, including material test certifications and packing lists.

- Forward shipments and related paperwork to customers in a timely manner.

Coordination and Logistics

- Arrange trucking and pickups for Sark Wire driver operations.

- Notify appropriate departments of all incoming shipments.

- Schedule and manage the return/pickup of empty reels.

Reporting and Documentation

- Generate and distribute reports on incoming shipments and raw materials received.

Safety and Security

- Adhere to all workplace safety policies and regulations.

- Maintain loading dock safety and security protocols.

Team Support

- Work with the Logistics Manager to direct forklift operators and other logistics staff.

Other Duties

- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- 2–4 years of relevant logistics, supply chain, or transportation experience.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Familiarity with shipping documentation and safety practices.
