LIDAR Technician/GIS Analyst II

Altamira is adding a LIDAR Scanning Technician/GIS Analyst II to complement our existing capabilities involving LIDAR scanning, data processing, and point cloud management to enhance the delivery of LIDAR data to incorporate 3D laser scans into GIS and engineering design elements.

The ideal candidate will conduct on-site scanning operations utilizing Trimble X7 LIDAR scanner across a spectrum of industries. This role involves performing 3D laser scanning, precision point data collection to be used in conjunction with GPS data for geo-referencing, as part of the processing of scan data use into design models when required. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in LIDAR field data collection methodologies, exceptional attention to detail, understanding of GPS data to be used in reference to precision points for geo-referencing and the ability to coordinate scan data with GPS data effectively.

Under the general direction of the Digital Solutions Director or his/her designate, the duties and responsibilities of the Laser Scanning Technician/GIS Analyst II include, but are not limited to, the following:

ArcGIS Pro, ArcCatalog, Spatial Analyst, Data Interoperability, Network Analyst, Image Analyst, Location Referencing System (LRS) and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR)
