As the Manufacturing Technician in our Fine Wire Department, you will be responsible for manufacturing fine wire using detailed specifications and requirement indicate in a Manufacturing Item Card. The technician will perform order setup using die sets, lubrication baths, speed rates, traverse travel. All manufacturing orders are tested following a manufacturing order to ensure the proper length, diameter, resistance and tensile strength.
The primary goal for this position is to learn and execute the fine wire department production process to ensure high product quality and customer satisfaction.
Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and production procedure manuals. The candidate must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and should be able to speak effectively with internal customers or employees of the organization.
The employee must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages, angles, surface areas, ratios, proportions and volume calculations with training.
Must be able to modify or complete forms and PDFs, and make basic functional use the Microsoft Office® suite of products with training (Word, Excel, and Outlook at a minimum).
Performing the duties of this job requires the dexterity to handle, feel and inspect Fine wire. The employee frequently is required to Reach overhead, sit, stand, walk, and stoop. 20/20 vision with the use of corrective lenses required.
