Viking Tool & Gage is looking for a Fabrication Technician to join our team in Conneaut Lake, PA.

Duties and Responsibilities

•

Computer skills required

•

Regularly performs CNC laser and press brake operation.

•

Read routing paperwork and performs work as assigned by department supervisor. Reviews and understands work packet for each job as assigned.

•

Performs inspection of fabricated products, using plug gages, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and job specific custom gages. Completes paperwork to document inspection of parts.

•

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures as indicated in the company Safety Policy.

•

Perform daily machine preventive maintenance as required

•

Cleans or De-burr parts.

•

Be able to move parts in and move finished product out of fabrication area.

•

Packaging of finished product.

•

Work in cooperation with all members of the team by building sustainable relationships of trust and respect through open and interactive communication.

•

Share knowledge by providing accurate, valid and complete information on a regular basis

Required Skills:

•

Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals.

•

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

•

Be able to read and interpret blueprints.

•

Must be able to read a tape measure.

•

Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents.

•

Ability to interpret tolerances.

•

Must be able to identify and measure material.

•

Must have good Attendance

•

Must be able to Communicate Proficiently

•

Must be a team player

This is mainly a 1st shift position with the potential of having to work an off shift based on current jobs.

Pay is based on experience.
