We are looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to partner with corporate and field leadership to achieve training and development needs for the company by identifying performance gaps; designing training programs that measurably increase employee performance, satisfaction, and retention/engagement; and evaluating outcomes
.
The ideal candidate for this role should have experience building and implementing learning programs and creating learning objectives around relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
The L&D Specialist Will Focus On These Core Responsibilities•Relationship building – the L&D Specialist must possess exceptional communication and partnership skills. The L&D Specialist must leverage existing subject matter experts in each position group and partner with them to systematize and formalize training processes for future delivery by the L&D Specialist or subject expert.
•Program/Portfolio management – the L&D Specialist must be a strong process driver. Whether it is recommending and implementing new technical tools or utilizing cost/time effective programs; they should constantly maintain training and course materials in addition to participant certifications.
•Project management – the L&D Specialist will continuously add new priorities set by the HR and business team leaders for new learning campaigns. The L&D Specialist must understand course creation philosophies. Beyond philosophy and strategy, the L&D Specialist should have strong initiative and be ready to move into tactical implementation on a short timetable.
•Instructional designer – the L&D Specialist will not only understand how to create learning objectives but be able to roll up their creative sleeves. Strong experience is required with learning management systems (LMS) and course-authoring programs. They should have an excellent eye for building content and understand how to organize/deliver content using adult learning theory.
Preferred Qualifications
•Minimum of 5 years adult training experience in a corporate environment.
•Experience with LMS systems is strongly preferred.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development or related Business field.
