LCRA Safety is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will design, develop and produce training materials for our internal users, customers, and LCRA leadership. Our ideal candidate will develop Instructor-Led Training, Virtual-Instructor Led Training, Web-Based Training, Micro-learning and social learning strategies. You will be trusted to:
•Work closely with department managers to understand unique business performance gaps and learning needs. Lead collaborative efforts to develop ad hoc training solutions.
•Design, develop and deliver employee safety training programs utilizing best practices by applying the process of activity-based learning, self-paced learning, training exercises, role plays, simulations etc. You will work very closely with subject matter experts in the development of content.
•Ensure learning and development programs are engaging and relevant to employees in various work environments.
•Act as training coordinator for the learning management system to run reports, create materials, and assign training.
•Build course user manuals, end-user training materials, installation guides, and reports, facilitation guides and training SOPs.
•Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness. Ensure effective delivery mechanisms for learning solutions (e.g., classroom, web-based, blended learning).
You qualify with:
•Six or more years of experience in companywide and/or operational training and development programs or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
•Experience working in a learning and development department of an organization.
•Instructional design experience and comfortable working in front of a classroom/group
•Proficiency in e-learning techniques
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond.
