- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and development to ensure variety and quality
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee food preparation, handling, and storage to maintain compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Monitor portion control and presentation standards to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for quality
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Demonstrated leadership skills as a sous chef or lead line cook in a fast-paced setting
- Expertise in culinary techniques, knife skills, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
- Experience with menu planning, catering, food service operations, and serving guests
- Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
- Previous experience working in the food industry with a focus on kitchen operations is highly desirable
