Position Summary
The Landscape Construction Foreman is the key person to ensure the level of quality each landscape installation project our customers receive meets and exceeds our standards and their expectations. Lead a team of 1-5 crew members and set the attention to detail, efficiency and effectiveness of the team, while working within the budgeted hours and materials.

Who We’re Looking For:
We seek individuals who: ✔ Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions ✔ Are motivated, hardworking, and reliable ✔ Have a strong attention to detail and take pride in their work ✔ Work well in a team, can be a leader and mentor, and communicate effectively ✔ Have landscape construction and equipment operation experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the landscaping/construction.
Key Responsibilities:

•Perform various outdoor related services including landscape and hardscape installations, planting, hydroseeding, tree trimming/removal, excavation, drainage work, fences, concrete, driveway maintenance and construction, and more.
•Deliver high-quality landscaping services to residential and commercial customers
•Track team progress, record time, and report back to operations daily.
•Communicate and review bids with sales team for accuracy, communicate with operations for job planning and scheduling, communicate and build trust with clients, report any issues back to operations and help to resolve.
•Maintain a clean and organized job site and company equipment, image is key
•Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with team members and clients
•Ensure adherence of team to safety protocols and company standards
•Assist in preparing for the next job, and or preparing for the next day. Preparation and planning is key for efficiency and to reach our goals.
•Work with your team to create daily plans and expectations for each person.
•Capable of producing a productive, goal-oriented work process by motivating and leading other people in a supportive, coaching manner.
•Instruct others in techniques to improve quality. Demonstrate an ability to maintain quality while increasing efficiency. Be responsible for the final quality of jobs.
•Instruct others in handling, moving, and installing plant materials. Move landscape and construction materials. Perform skill-oriented tasks while directing others. Organize jobs start to finish; delegate duties to technicians.
•Teach crew members procedures and production techniques. Do job layout with minimal assistance. Demonstrate ability to run most size projects with little assistance. Provide input to help improve estimating and production.
What You Must Bring to the Team:
•A good positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and teach others
•Must be at least 18 years old
•A valid driver’s license with a clean record (CDL preferred)
•At least 3 years of previous experience in similar role
•Reliable transportation to and from job sites
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
•Accountability for work performed
•Knowledge of landscape construction practices including materials, tools, methods, and equipment required to complete various tasks and projects
•Strong time management, problem solving, and organizational skills
•Ability to operate all construction equipment such as skid steers, loaders, tractors, mini excavators, and ventracs. Ability to drive trucks and proficiently backup trailers
•Ability to run a laser and set grade
•Ability to read and follow job blueprints and instructions to complete projects efficiently
•Demonstrate strong attention to detail and communication skills with clients and coworkers
Winter Duties
· Assist in preparing, planning, and execution of snow operations
· Snow plowing and salting on call including nights and weekends to prepare for and service our clients 24/7
· Assist in maintaining trucks, trailers, mowers, and other equipment
· Clean, organize, and maintain inside/outside of buildings and yard
· Work on special projects and rental houses as needed
· Train, learn, and prepare for upcoming season.
Regular Hours
· Monday to Friday 7:30am-5:00pm and will vary while on jobs and in busy spring time periods.
· Winter Hours will vary, during snow operations nights and weekends are mandatory.
