Lexis Outdoor Services Inc. has been in the green industry for 25 years. We install landscapes in both commercial and non-commercial settings. Lexis designs and installs landscapes from artificial turf, large scale planting and hardscaping.

Job Summary:

The Landscape Foreman is responsible for overseeing landscaping projects from conception to completion. This role combines hands-on involvement with leadership and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day operations on the job site, supervise a crew of landscaping professionals, ensure adherence to design plans and safety protocols, and maintain high standards of quality while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

•

Plan and schedule landscaping projects, ensuring that tasks align with the overall design and client specifications.

•

Monitor work progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.

•

Crew Supervision and Training:

•

Supervise daily operations of landscaping crew members, assigning tasks and providing clear instructions.

•

Mentor new team members through on-the-job training and ongoing support, ensuring they understand proper techniques and safety measures.

•

On-site Operations:

•

Interpret landscape design plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and maintenance efforts.

•

Oversee activities such as planting, mulching, mowing, pruning, installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, and other related tasks.

•

Operate and ensure proper maintenance of landscaping equipment.

•

Quality and Safety Compliance:

•

Enforce all safety guidelines, proper tool usage, and company policies on the job site to prevent accidents.

•

Perform regular equipment inspections and ensure maintenance schedules are met.

•

Monitor plant health and implement treatments as needed.

•

Client and Supplier Communication:

•

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on progress, addressing concerns, and recommending adjustments to meet project goals.

Coordinate with suppliers to order and manage plant inventory, materials, and equipment.

•

Administrative Duties:

•

Prepare and maintain records such as work logs, material usage reports, and equipment inventories.

Requirements:

•

Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance, with a track record of supervising teams.

•

Experience reading and interpreting landscape designs and technical drawings.

•

Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

•

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

•

Proficient in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment safely.

•

Ability to solve problems on the fly and adapt to dynamic work environments.

•

Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, and working in diverse weather conditions.

•

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
