Junior Pipe Fabrication Estimator

Who We Are & Why This Role Matters

At The Shaw Group, we support customers with high-quality industrial fabrication and specialty services. As a Pipe Fabrication Estimator, you will play a critical role in our Pipe Fabrication division by ensuring accurate material takeoffs and competitive bids.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare detailed estimates and material takeoffs

- Conduct pre-estimate planning meetings

- Review blueprints, specifications, and proposals

- Obtain supplier/subcontractor quotations

- Collaborate with Operations, BD, and Procurement

- Coordinate with support groups (legal, tax, finance)

- Process final cost data as needed

What You’ll Bring

- 2–3 years relevant estimating experience

- Proficiency in Excel

- Ability to read ISO specs and engineering drawings

- Familiarity with pipe fabrication methods

- Strong adaptability and deadline management

- Cross-functional communication skills
