Janitor

Job Duties:

- Empties trash cans which are 55 gallon drums unto dumpster, lays can down and pulls bags out.

- Distributes and maintains safety supplies to include gloves, ear plugs, helmets, respitator equip.

- Receives and stocks housekeeping and safety supplies.

- Distributes or refills housekeeping related items such as soap dispenser, paper towel holders, toilet paper.

- General cleaning - wipe tables, mop floors, clean toilets, shower, offices, lunch rooms.

- Dumps trash in shop floor offices, clean windows, and sweet steps.

- Mow grass in the spring, summer, and fall.

Job Requirements:

- Strong work ethic along with attention to detail and willingness to learn

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at times.

- Repetitive standing, bending, twisting, and lifting required

- Utilize necessary safety equipment to maintain a safe working environment

- Candidates are required to successfully pass pre-employment screenings including background check, physical examination, and substance abuse screenings

- Internal metatarsal steel toe boots (minimum 6" height) and other PPE required

- Must be able to work without close supervision and complete all assigned task.

- Capable of working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, equipment and processes producing high noise levels, dust and other physical demands.

Preferred skills:

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- 1-3 years janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment
