Primary Duties
1.Work with IT Managers, leadership and vendors to order or assist with ordering various IT hardware including laptops, desktops, MDTs, printers, mobile mounting equipment, modems, antennas, and network equipment according to the needs of the location.
2.Identify requirements for computer images and configurations to maximize productivity and reliability. May assist in the design, testing, and implementation of standard images.
3. Log, troubleshoot, update, and follow through on incidents and requests, including incidents that are escalated, until final resolution is reached.
4. Use software deployment tools to push updates and manage software licenses.
5. Provide project management on software/hardware upgrades and enhancements. May be simultaneously assigned to multiple projects. Assist with the implementation of new customer information systems including hardware and software.
6. Mentor, coach and support other IT staff to improve technical abilities; and assist in completion of challenging assignments. Delegates routine and less complex tasks to team members as appropriate.
7. Disseminate Enterprise IT initiative information to other IT Support staff as well as to end users to keep them advised regarding upcoming technology changes.
8. May provide support for WMR projects including recommendations, planning, configurations, implementations, and trouble shooting. Provides support to IT Technology Technicians and operations as needed.
9. Support telecom equipment including phone systems and patch panels where applicable.
10. Assist in the recommendation, implementation, testing, and configuration of hardware, software, VDI, and network related systems.
11. Coordinate with vendors or contractors to ensure proper implementation of wiring plants, communication plants hardware and related systems (includes MDT mounting) where applicable.
12. Make recommendations for technical changes and training to improve operating efficiencies, increase adoption and usage, and ensure effective customer service.
13. Maintain an inventory of company IT assets.
14. Uses time management skills to provide a high level of customer service for both local and remote offices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Educational/Experience Level
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and three years of related experience; or
High school education or the equivalent and seven years of related experience.
Communication Skills
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and /or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical or other complex concepts to individuals.
Numeric Skills
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
Computer Skills
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds from the ground to 34 inches. (Ex: lifting and carrying servers and equipment).
Ability to lift 20 pounds from the ground to 72 inches. (Ex: lifting monitors and equipment to storage). Ability to lift 25 pounds from the ground to 57 inches. (Ex: lifting batteries and equipment).
Ability to ascend/descend 3 rungs on a ladder.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch.
Work Conditions
Works in an office environment. Travel is required
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
